Notre Dame
As expected, Cindy and Paul couldn't wait to get to a church
April 2000

Soon after arriving, Paul and Cindy journeyed to the oldest part of Paris, the Island (called Ile de la city).

Pokin' along

Of course the main reason for Cindy and Paul's visit was to pose with this poster of Pokemon to impress Evan:

Watered down

Some American gave Paris money to build public drinking fountains in the late 1800s. Here's Paul posing at one of them (we are not making this up). During the summer, a stream of potable water will continually descend from top to bottom. Paul couldn't wait and started buying bottled water -- a sure sign of excessive wealth.

The flower marked

Next stop was the flower market -- the largest in Paris. Of course, we had to find the purple flowers:

Is there a smart car??

Here's Paul finding an imperfection in France's cutest new car -- the Smart -- outfitted in Paris's favorite fashion color of black:

The twist purple

Finally, Cindy had to have a picture of this French lady -- in purple, of course, with a French twist:
