The North Gate exits the 10-acre Museum gardens and leads to St. Olave church on the right.

Below, St. Olave's church just outside the Abbey's north wall. St. Olaf was King of Norway and this is the oldest church in England dedicated to him, with the first building erected in 1055 shortly after Olaf died. The Benedictine abbey grew out of that church.
