Bergamo, Lomardy, Italy -- July 2006 -- The Baptistery is a perfectly proportioned octagon. The upper story has loggia with Corinthian capitals. This may be an 18th century reconstruction of the original building -- which would explain why the Bergamask allow it to stay out in the elements.
