Nantucket -- Inside the space is based upon an early 4th century Christian church design which leads to a semi-circular altar space.The church on the island preferred the High Anglican (more Catholic) approach. Its Boston bishop wanted to go low. The feuding resulted in the rectorship here being vacant from 1859 through 1872.
