Yosemite National Park, California 2008 -- This is not a piece of the old glacier that receded 14,000 years ago (although there are a few newer ones in the park -- the largest at 65 acres). This area had near-record snowfalls and some of it was left. Temperature up here was in the 60s and we had to take off a layer or two of clothing.
