Nantucket -- The sandy ecosystem of the Sandford Farm is surrounded by the Hummock Pond which here appears to have sprouted a very large wildflower. A remnant of the glacier, it has been shaped by Atlantic storms including the blizzard of 1978. It's another "kettle hole" and one of the deepest on Nantucket.
