Nantucket -- Today the camels and the whaling ships they carried are gone for nearly 150 years. Ferries arrive frequently during the summer disgorging tourists and the harbor is home to yacht clubs.Life is good here, but it was also very good in the first half of the 19th century. Let's look now at some of the fine buildings that have survived since then.
