Nantucket -- But you say, "wait, there's more. What about the Starbuck's name we find often in Nantucket history?" Starbuck's coffee is indirectly related. That company's founders wanted to name their firm after Melville's ship in "Moby Dick," the Pequod. Instead, they settled for Captain Ahab's first mate. Many Starbucks from Nantucket served in the whaling industry and a Pacific atoll is perhaps named for one of two Starbuck cousins who first sited it.
